If you have ever needed architectural or engineering help and are involved in sharing the love of God with the poor in word and deed, you are the reason we exist as an organization. By providing design services to Christian organizations in South Asia, the staff and volunteers of Engineering Ministries International: India desire to serve you as you serve others. In operation since 1982, with projects in over 80 nations, EMI is the most experienced professional non-profit design service available in the world. In South Asia since 1998, eMi² has been networking Christian workers, volunteer design professionals, and interns to carry out over 180 planning and design projects for schools, hospitals, orphanages, water supply systems, training centers, and more. Combining practical design and cultural experience, our goal is to develop a culturally sensitive design that expresses the ministry's vision.
Our client brochure gives an overview of our ministry and services.
Here’s what some eMi² clients have to say about their experience with eMi²:
“I will always praise God for their sacrificial and hard work. Most of the team members spend their hard-earned savings and in addition exhaust their holiday to go on these trips... Whenever I see a person from eMi² I am reminded of our faith statement: ‘God’s work done by God’s people, in God’s way, with God’s money, will never lack God’s provisions.’” - JJ Ratnakumar, General Coordinator, M.U.T., India
“What impressed me most about the eMi² team was their devotion to the Lord – servant hearts and absolute commitment to the vision of our ministry. As they worked and reworked the plans day after day the sacrifice, dedication, and passion came through clearly...” - Viji Nakka-Cammauf, President, Little Flock Children’s Homes, India
“They welcomed our questions while providing the best ideas and possibilities from a ministry perspective, which is impossible to receive except from believers.” - K.B. Basel, President, G.A.N., Nepal
“[The eMi² team] spent seven days working on a new plan for this site, and drew another plan for the second building, which is the girl’s orphanage... They have generously contributed to make a change for the future of helpless children in Sri Lanka...” - Valentine Fernando, Director, Lanka Home for Children, Sri Lanka
“eMi² completed a detailed survey of our 17 acres which has proved invaluable time and time again, technical drawings, options for potable and agricultural water supplies, drainage and sewage plans. Whenever we are asked, ‘How did you get such wisdom to do things like this?’ we always point back to the professional, dedicated, and loving teams from eMi².” - Ron Penny, Kollegal Girls’ Home & Bird Memorial High School, India
