Project+ is a flexible one-month (+/-) internship which eMi² offers as an extension to certain project trips. Most Project+ opportunities at eMi² are in the June-August monsoon season, but opportunities are also available at other times of the year – check our upcoming projects list and ask the project leader about Project+.
Project+ internships start with joining a specific eMi² project trip team and continue after the team leaves the project site and project volunteers depart. Project+ interns travel back to the eMi² office with their project leader to get started on documenting the design work the team did in the field. This exploratory visit to our office for 2-3 weeks lets you check out living & serving in an Indian town during the monsoon, gives a great head start on finalizing the project design materials, and broadens your experience in project design. Umbrellas and all, you may really like it here. You’re welcome to sign up again next year, or maybe join us for a 4 or 6-month internship!
At eMi², Project+ internships are offered instead of 3-month mid-year internships. The total cost for Project+ internships depend on the specific project trip but are typically $US 2500-3500. Visit EMI's website for more information on internship costs. For a Project+ internship at eMi² in the June-August season, apply before January 22 of the same year.
