Joined eMi2:
I came to India in April of 2001 to serve with eMi2 for a six month internship and returned as staff in January 2002. In January 2003, I was appointed as the Director of eMi2.

Family
My family live in Illinois in the Chicago land area. I am the oldest of four children with two brothers and a sister. Additionally, I have a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.

Professional Training and Experience
I have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with high honors and a Structural Engineering emphasis from the IIT (Illinois Institute of Technology) in Chicago. Before joining eMi2, I worked in a small engineering consulting firm in a suburb of Chicago, which was focused on structural engineering for educational and commercial facilities.

I never traveled much nor desired to before coming to eMi. I can say that coming to India was the first real travel experience of my adult life. Since that time, the service of eMi2 has taken me all over this nation and to many other places in this region such as: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. I am passably fluent and literate in Hindi and have begun Urdu study. I have led over 20 project trips plus many other work or office trips for many types of projects and ministries. It has been absolutely incredible to see the various parts and people of the body of Christ throughout India and South Asia. God loves these people more than we can possibly imagine, I am so blessed to be a small part of His purpose in these nations.

If God told me to live long term in a cross-cultural setting, the country I would chose...
India and broader South Asia is a beautiful region with unique cultures, languages, and peoples. God has called me to be here and He has been faithful – this is where I am supposed to be.

Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too difficult for You... Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too difficult for Me?

Lamentations 3:21-26
Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him. The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
