We're looking for design professional volunteers who can join us in India in Long-Term Volunteer positions in Architecture and Civil Engineering. This 1-year commitment is designed for those who have done at least one project trip or internship with EMI before, preferably in India, and who have at least 3-5 years of professional working experience in their fields.
The ‘LTV’ position is a new opportunity we are developing to better support client ministries in South Asia whose development projects are underway – projects like the ones you worked on as a Project Volunteer. Based out of our office in Mussoorie, North India, these positions will involve various responsibilities in design support, intern work management, site progress visits, and consultations with clients in addition to participation with / coordination of eMi² project trip teams. Each year there will be two LTV tracks: mid-January through mid-December and late-August through mid-July (the following year).
Other features of the 1-year term: orientations in EMI’s headquarters in USA and at eMi² in India, two eMi² group prayer days, Indian culture and history seminars, joining in an eMi² Staff Week, helping run an eMi² intern orientation, and flexible holiday time.
